To preserve, restore, study and enrich its collections: certified« Musée de France » in 2002, the Museum of Nantes vineyard continues its fundamental missions by carrying out new acquisitions every year and ensuring good conservation and health of the Objects that are entrusted in the permanent exhibition rooms and in the museum reserves. Throughout the year, the museum continues to study its collections in order to enrich the knowledge of the wine heritage.
To make its collections accessible to the public: by proposing a very educational and accessible to everybody. This course deals with all the work related to the wine growing and then to its ageing, the technical progress and the evolution of the know-how. A wide range of documentary sheet are available for visitors as well as short films.
Design and implement educational and dissemination activities: the educational service offers appropriate visits to the teachers' project for preschool to graduate students. Educational workshops complete the discovery of the collections.

To contribute to the progress of knowledge and research and their diffusion: The studies about the wine heritage carried out every year since 2010, and in particular concerning the history of wine consumption (2012), or the technical accompaniment to the Association FORUM in its operation of inventory of the old local presses (2013) gave rise to the realization of temporary exhibitions, documentary sheets and publishing works.
